Jim Cornette Analyzes Fallout: Vince McMahon Allegations Impact TKO Group’s Business
In a shocking turn of events, the recent sexual assault and exploitation allegations against Vince McMahon by former WWE employee Janel Grant have sent ripples through the wrestling industry. As the wrestling world grapples with the grim details of the lawsuit, Jim Cornette, a seasoned WWE manager, has weighed in on how these allegations might impact the way TKO Group conducts business.
During a recent episode of the Jim Cornette Experience, Cornette expressed his belief that Endeavor, the company that recently purchased WWE, likely wasn’t aware of the allegations when making the deal with McMahon. He questioned the ethical responsibility of purchasing a business from an individual facing such serious accusations and emphasized the importance of using the acquired entity for positive purposes.
“Well, if you buy something legally from an a**hole and a criminal that you intend to run fairly, above board, and honestly… should you not get a thing to use its powers for good? Because the guy you’re buying it from is a f***ing sub-human cretin.”
The wrestling veteran pointed out that WWE has gone on record several times to make it clear that Vince did not have any pull under the new structure.
“Was that the deal? Was that the only way they could get it? […] We know that Vince was demoted or made ceremonial. He didn’t have control of anything anymore. He obviously was always gonna want ownership of all that stock, all that money, basically. But was that also part of the deal? ‘You gotta put me somewhere in the corporate structure, even in name only?’ Is that also why he started converting his stock to what he could sell? […] They’re gonna slowly divest, but maybe this hastened the divesting,” said the former WWE employee. [From 0:18 – 1:46]

Vince McMahon Resigns: TKO Group Faces Crisis After Sexual Assault Allegations Surface!
Cornette speculated that McMahon may have negotiated to retain some form of influence within the company’s structure, despite his apparent demotion. The wrestling veteran highlighted WWE’s public statements emphasizing McMahon’s lack of control under the new structure but questioned whether McMahon’s continued presence on the board was part of the deal.
Following the lawsuit, Vince McMahon resigned from his role as part of the TKO Board of Directors. In response to the allegations, McMahon vehemently denied the charges, asserting his commitment to fighting against them and restoring his tarnished reputation. McMahon categorically labeled the lawsuit as full of lies and fabricated statements, distancing it from factual accuracy and claiming distortion from the truth.
The unfolding situation has left the wrestling community in suspense, wondering how these allegations will impact TKO Group’s management and whether McMahon can successfully clear his name. As the legal battle ensues, the emotions surrounding this controversy are sure to intensify, shaping the narrative of Vince McMahon’s legacy and the future of WWE under TKO Group.
