The Boys have landed! If you are a fan of the television show Prime Video’s “The Boys”, then fear not as the show is back with a vengeance, with a brand new set of episodes for viewers’ enjoyment, and new faces to entice fans. Five years later, the first three episodes of Season 4 were released on June 13, and it looks like viewers are going to have a lot of fun once again. As the fourth episode is set to drop on this Thursday and the next subsequent episodes released weekly till 18 July, the viewers wait for what is brewing up in this sinister and mysterious universe.
With roots firmly in the comic book of the same name, ‘The Boys’ is a plot that revolves around the idea of vigilantes attempting to bring to book superheroes who have gone rogue. It first aired in 2019, and since then, audiences have binge-watched their favorite superheroes with a raw and uncompromising vigilante justice. There is even some spin offs of ‘’The Boys”, which include “Gen V” that started in September, “Diabolical” animated series that began in march 2022 , and lastly “Seven on 7” web series that was released in July 2021.
The audience is going to be happy to know that many of their favorite characters are going to be back in the next season. Karl Urban returns as the vicious skull face Billy Butcher, the chief of “The Boys. ” He is an ex member of the SAS who has personal grudge against Homelander since he killed his wife, Becca, and who also has an ambitious goal to overthrow the Vought International and the corrupt superheroes, the “Supes”.
Not exaggerating but that episode of #TheBoys is not only the best of season 4 but it might just be top 3 episode in the entire series. That’s The Boys at its peak 🔥 pic.twitter.com/5VLxOEKlHy

Jack Quaid reprises his role as Hughie Campbell – the support character and a former tech expert of the Butcher, who decided to join the team after a dear girlfriend of him, Robin, was cruelly killed by A-Train. Different transformation of Hughie from an innocent, technology freak, and in to an experienced member of ‘The Boys’ has been one of the defining aspects of the series.
There is also Erin Moriarty as Starlight, or Annie January, a member of the Seven turned villain joining The Boys after she saw the dark side of Vought and Supes. Starlight is another interesting character, whose path from an enthusiastically brave superhero to the embittered avenger contributes to the complexity of the team.
This season, “The Boys” introduces a host of new characters, each bringing their own flair and complexity to the show. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Rob Benedict, and Eliot Knight join the ensemble, adding fresh layers to the already intricate narrative.
Played by an actor who hasn’t been revealed yet, Firecracker is one of the most anticipated new characters. It is anticipated that Firecracker will infuse the series with explosive intensity, both literally and metaphorically. The character will definitely stir things up and introduce fresh tensions to the plot because of her extraordinary abilities and fiery attitude.
The Boys season 4 sucks (to me). It’s literally stuffed full of current-day politics, literal name-dropping of political figures, a pretty obvious agenda and tons of woke messaging. They screwed it up IMO. Such heavy-handedness as compared to the previous three seasons. 😑 pic.twitter.com/4K2nqIeuF5

Antony Starr’s portrayal of Homelander, the merciless commander of the Seven, remains a pivotal character. He is among the most fascinating villains on television thanks to his terrifying combination of savagery and charisma. His interactions with the new and returning characters, in his role as the major antagonist, will be crucial to advancing the plot.
Mother’s Milk, played by Laz Alonso, remains a crucial member of “The Boys.” His deep-seated hatred for Vought and unwavering loyalty to his team provide a moral anchor amidst the chaos. Mother’s Milk’s backstory and motivations will likely be further explored this season, adding emotional weight to the ongoing battle against the Supes.
With its mix of returning favorites and intriguing new faces, Season 4 of “The Boys” promises to be as unpredictable and thrilling as ever. The show’s fearless approach to storytelling, combined with its dark humor and sharp social commentary, ensures that fans will remain on the edge of their seats.
As the new episodes continue to roll out, audiences can expect more jaw-dropping twists, intense action scenes, and deep character developments. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a newcomer to the series, this season of “The Boys” is set to deliver an unforgettable experience.
Tune in to Prime Video every Thursday to catch the latest episodes and see what explosive surprises await in Season 4 of “The Boys.”
