In what has been described as the dramatic return to the wrestling industry, Drew McIntyre delivered a spectacular performance at the After Hours event of theInsane Championship Wrestling in his home country Scotland. Bearing an extremely fit and muscular Scottish powerhouse who started in WWE and amassed quite a long-run before shocking fans with his return to the very ring that began his great career.
I can still vividly remember watching the show from my couch while ICW Champion Jack Jester was posing in the middle of the ring none aware of the ringside nostalgia that was about to take place. Suddenly the loud theme music for McIntyre started playing and the crowd was shocked but also thrilled to realize he has entered the arena.
The burly McIntyre with gladiatorike attire to the match from the back and looked as determined as when he rose to fame. The lights went up and he was in the middle of it all, the first loud resounding applause reverberating through the hall.

At first, the animosity could almost be sensed with McIntyre glaring at Jester, as if there’s about to be a showdown between 2 Scottish heroes. But any confusion which might have been in people’s mind was blown away by McIntyre who put a hand out towards Jester and embraced him which was rather a sign of salute and sportsmanship between the two athletes.
The emotional reuniting that followed the live performance saw McIntyre walking up to the podium to address the houseful audience with a powerful and grateful attitude, he had the crowd in ecstasy with his charismatic voice. “ICW, you’ve always been home to me,” McIntyre stated passionately and with intense emotion while the crowd chanted his name and burst into applause.
Videos and posts of McIntyre along with people’s reactions flooded the social media pages in a very short period of time which spoke a lot about his popularity or rather one can say his respect as a recently returned wrestler to the wrestling world.
